My first Interview Experience at Bharath Electronics Limited(BEL) in Bangalore

My first Interview: I got my first interview experience in the year 1996, July 23rd. I went for an interview to Bharath Electronics Limited, Bangalore for the post of Software Engineer by the candidates selected from a formal written test. I completed M.C.A. Degree during the time of my first interview. It was also a minimum qualification to attend the written test. As per my performance in the written test, I had been called for an interview.

My Experience in interview: I went to Bangalore for the interview and it was my fist visit to Bangalore. I was in very formal in my dress code by wearing tie,Shoos. When my name had been called, I entered into the interview hall, which was full furnished A/C hall. First,I said good morning to all the interviewers in the interview panel even the interview was held in After noon. Why I said "GOOD MORNING" to all you know? Even It was after noon because I met all the panel members as the first time. I just stand in front of the panel members until they asked to take my seat. Then I said thanks for them to give me a seat to sit. First, They asked to introduce myself. Then I just introduced myself with about my family, study, current job and future ambition.

How I faced the interview: The panel members asked various questions from my subject. I answered all the questions very well which they asked. The most of the questions were based on my subjects which already I studied. Then they asked about my present job on that time. I was a lecturer in a private college during that Interview time and now also. I told about my profession. Then simply they sent me out. But I had not been selected for the post on that interview.

Why I had not been selected: I had not been selected for that software engineering post because I were in the teaching profession for the past two years during my time of interview. So, the panel members decided that this person would not be good for software development because I was in teaching. So I could not get that software engineering Post.
