Seat sharing of AIADMK allaince and DMK alliance in Tamilnadu elections 2011

Almost a month left for the Assembly election in Tamil Nadu 2011. But as on 13th March 2011 the deadlock is not over between AIADMK and its major alliance MDMK, CPI & CPM is hanging for seat sharing of the Assembly election to be held on 13th April 2011. AIADMK party already announced the 41 seats for Vijaykanth's DMDK on March 3, 2011 and later last week some minor allies like popular actor R.Sarathkumar's 2 seats etc alloted by AIADMK could move further to complete the poll alliance with the major alliance like Viko's MDMK, CPI & CPM are pending. As on date AIADMK already alloted 52 seats to the alliance which is inclusive of 41 seats to Vijaykanth's DMDK party. Now, AIADMK in hand 182 seats to distribute to their major alliance and also field their own candidates to contest the poll. AIADMK wants to put their own candidates in 150 seats and balance 32seats to be shared with MDMK, CPI & CPM. It's a crucial stage for AIADMK to conclude the seat sharing arrangements with their major parties and no time left out for these parties as nomination dates are nearing.

In other hand DMK-Congress alliance are struggling to identify their constituencies. DMK agreed for 63 seats to Congress but could not reach any agreement for identifying the constituencies for 63 seats. The meeting of the both DMK & Congress ended without any conclusion for constituencies to be shared by each parties, even after four round talks are over.

Most probably, the AIDMK & DMK alliance will complete the process of seat sharing and list of candidates will be out within two to three days time.
