• In the year 2006 Arcot Veeraswamy (DMK) Won against his opponent Vijaya Thayanban(MDMK). Arcot Veeraswamy has got 46.2% of votes while Vijaya Thayanban has got 40.48%.

• In the year 2001 Arcot Veeraswamy (DMK) Won against his opponent ARUMUGAM.C (PMK). The percentage of votes polled against both of them are 48.2 & 44.73 respectively.

• In the year 1996 Arcot Veeraswamy (DMK) Won against his opponent BALASUBRAMANIAN, R. (INC). The percentage of votes polled against both of them are 67.05 & 22.48 respectively.

• In the year 1996 A. CHELLAKUMAR (INC) Won against his opponent S. M. RAMACHANDRAN (DMK). The percentage of votes polled against both of them are 57.29 & 36.58 respectively.
