In this resource I have described about "Swamiji Premananda" and his Biography. I have also listed the details of Ashrams that were built by him in Matale in Srilanka and in Tiruchirapally.

Introduction of Premananda
Premananda is the holy man who had built an Ashram in the Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) district of Tamil Nadu in India.
From his childhood he was mostly interested in the spiritual things. He had a goal where he wanted to show the existence of God to as many people in this world by his preach.

Original Name : Prem Kumar
Known as : Swamiji Premananda
Date Of Birth Of Premananda : 17-Nov-1951 in Matale (Sri Lanka)
Carrer Of Premananda: Religious Preach and Social Service
First Ashram Of Premananda : In Matale in the year 1972
Second Ashram Of Premananda : in Tiruchirapally in the year 1989.
Date of Death Of Premananda : 21-Feb-2011

Ashrams built by Premananda
He had dedicated himself to serve humanity and to take care of the people who had suffered in their life. Hence he staretd an ashram in the year 1972 in a place called as Matale which is his born place in Srilanka. In this Ashram, he had been taking care of so many Orphans and the childrens. In the year 1983, he came to Tamilnadu. He had some orphans and devotees along with him. Then in the year 1989, he had started one more Ashram in Tiruchirapally which is known as Trichy. The childres who were accomadated in this Ashram were educated from this Ashram with the help of Premananda.

Death of Premananda
But then Premananda's behavior was not good towards the girls in the Ashram. Hence there was an investigation in the year 1997. Swami Premananda himself has stated that "I have never committed any crime. I have surrendered totally to the Divine. Truth will ultimately win". Hence he was prisoned and kept in Kadalur Jail. But due to his health problems he was admitted in one of the private hospital in Chennai. But the treatments could not recover him and he died on 21-Feb-2011 at about 1.45 PM in the afternoon.
