The real story behind the Teddy Bear Day

Cute Teddy is a related with Valentines week. Teddy Day is also a part of Valentine Day and is celebrated on 10th February each year. Teddy day is the fourth day of valentine Day before the Promise Day which is considered on February 11. The following Day 12th February is Kiss Day in Valentine Week. Then Hug Day comes on 13h and finally Valentine's Day on 14th Day of February. The cute toy Teddy Bear is the mainly adorable buddy for all the girls. Teddy Day is very cutest Day in the world and in Valentine's week.
Though we know that 10th February is celebrated as the Teddy Day, but most of us are unaware about story of this cute Playmate. Teddy bear has been named in the memory of American President Theodore Roosevelt who was fondly known as Teddy.

Around100 years ago, American President Theodore Roosevelt was going to a bear hunt. He entered in jungle where animals were living. Meanwhile he enjoyed beauty of jungle with his guides and hunting dogs. Then Guides are started to look for bear to hunt for the President. The dogs are also was busy searching for bear. Because Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United States, do not want to fail in the hunt.

Searching for bears was continued for 3 days. After 3 days of riding and running and climbing, they havn't find any bears in the jungle. Then what? Guides are decided that The President's bear hunt would not be a failure. We must find any bear and make hunt successful.

Then the following day the hunt guides and his hunting dogs finally caught a bear who is very old and tired by following him for much a distance. The dogs bite him and bear has got injury in the attacking. The guides tied the old bear to a tree by a rope and shown to the President to shoot.
President Roosevelt is disappointed looking at old poor bear. President said
"no!" No one would kill this poor bear for a fun". He ordered to untie the bear and leave him without giving any pain. Also He encouraged everybody to love them.

Clifford Berryman, A political cartoonist has heard about this story. He is a cartoonist who used to draw the current news events. Mr. Berryman drew a cartoon of the scene that President Roosevelt commanding to leave the bear without shooting and showed President.

Later he has redrawn the same cartoon with a baby bear. This new bear was very cute small one and shaking with fear. From that time onwards the bear started to appear in other many cartoons of Clifford Berryman about the Theodore Roosevelt. Like that a bear connected to the name of the Theodore.
Later the famous cartoons are begun to appear in news papers. Then a shopkeeper is named of Morris Michtom put some toy bears in his shop. The toy bears are made by his wife with stuffing cloth materials. This shop keeper has got the permission from the President to call the toy bears as Teddy Bears. From then that shop changed as a leading shop in that place. Customers were increased for the Teddy bear. Then slowly Teddy Bear has got popularity everywhere in the World.
