The Intermediate budget proposal for the financial year 2011-2012

The Budget proposal is very important for a state because it determines the total income and expenses of a state, the financial positions of a state, the various schemes to be implemented in a state and also gives the details about the future plan of the respective states with various welfare schemes. The Honorable Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. K. Anbalagan, had submitted the Intermediate budget proposal for the financial year 2011-2012 in the Tami Nadu Assembly on 05.02.2011. This budget is only for the period of four months from February 2011 to May 2011. The full budget for the financial year may be submitted by the new government of Tamil Nadu during June or July 2011 after the forthcoming assembly elections are over in Tamil Nadu. The enough money has been allocated for the various welfare and free schemes of Tami Nadu which was already implemented and also they are currently running in the state.

The fund allocations for the Education Departments in the budget 2011-2012

The amount of rupees 12,674 Crores have been allocated for the various improvements in the Department of School educations. The common syllabus is being introduced for all standards from the next academic year.

The Department of higher educations has the amount of rupees 2,135 Crores for its growth. This fund will be utilized for improving the present higher Education system in Tamil Nadu.

The amount of rupees 360 Crores have been allocated for giving free education to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students which will improve them in the society.

The higher education fund for the first generation graduate students would be the amount of rupees 277 Crores

The fund allocations for the people welfare Village welfare in the budget 2011-2012

The amount of rupees 4,554 Crores has been given to the benefit of the Department of Human welfare. This includes various welfare schemes for the peoples of Tamil Nadu.

The rural development work is very important for a state. Therefore, the amount of rupees 8,812 Crores have been allocated for that.

The amount for the subsidy of the food expenses would be rupees 4,000 Crores

The amount for the subsidy for the Electric board is rupees 1,681 Crores and
The fund allocated for the pension for the aged people would be rupees 1,379 Crores

The amount will be allocated for the total expenses of the Hokgenakkal drinking water scheme is rupees 400 Crores

The total amount of rupees 360 Crores have been allocated to the Child delivery scheme for the ladies

The fund allocated for various welfare and Insurance schemes in Tamil Nadu in budget 2011-2012

The amount of rupees 2,250 Crores allocated for the kalaignar housing scheme

The total expenses for the free lunch scheme in school is rupees 1,207 Crores

The amount of rupees 815 Crores allocated for the implementation of Textile Park in Tamil Nadu with the support of Indian Government.

The fund for other expenses in the budget 2011-2012

Additional building in secretariat and improve the facility in Kalaivar Arangam with the amount of rupees 244 Crores
The amount of rupees 221 Crores was allocated for the welfare of the peoples in various aspects to implement basic needs.

The amount of rupees 375 Crores have been allocated for the Concrete house scheme in Tamil Nadu instead of old roof houses.

The total amount of rupees 100 Crores allocated for the maintenance of 1000 temples and celebrations.
