Dr M. Karunanidhi Trust for Award of Classical Tamil Language Researcher

Dr M Karunanidhi Trust for Award of Classical Tamil Language Researcher was implemented by Dr M Karunanithi, Chief minister of Tamilnadu for giving awards to the researcher in Classical Tamil Language. He contributes his own money and certificates for the researcher in the field of Classical Tamil Language. Every year the trust gives the awards to the persons those who contribute some research work to the Classical Tamil Language.

About the classical Tamil Award and time of distributing the classical Tamil Award

The award includes a prize money worth of one million rupees of cheque or draft and Dr M Karunanith shield of 80 gram gold coin. It also includes five gram gold thiruvalluvar silai. Apart from that , certificates will be given. The award will be given to the selected person on the birth date of Kalaignar Dr M Karunanithi which is 3rd June every year.

Eligibility and list of ares to publish the research work for the classical Tamil Award 2010

An individual or a Classical Tamil Language group can participate in this contest. The participant can submit his/her research work related to the old Tamil culture,Tamil civilization and it would be accepted by selection team.
The team includes persons like tamil writes,tamil poet,Tamil teachers in University and other experts in Tamil classical language.The list of areas for the articles may include Thollial,old Tamil Grammer,lamguages, Elakkia thiranaivu,music,Drama,Drawing and other tamil related things.

Rules and guidelines to the participant for the classical Tamil Award 2010

1. The participants may be anywhere from the world.

2. The articles may be in any language. But it should be about Classical Tamil language research work.

3. The research work or the article must be recommended by any of the persons like University tamil teachers, tamil poet,tamil writer, tamil aringar and experts in Tamil classical language.

4. The last date for the submission of research work is on or before: 18.02.2011
