The Movie Ghobi Ghat Synopsis
As I said above Ghobi Ghat, a square love story is a portrait which tells the story about four people who are from various ways of life and how their life interlocks in this voyage and how they deal with their longing, loneliness, love, acquaintance and failure. On the way they find themselves strained into compelling relationships, the city sees the cracks of their lives on its path, splitting them even as it brings them closer. The way of storytelling is through a video diary, black and white picturesque images and painting and makes a vivid picture of city where these people joined together through their journey of yearning, solitude, failure and love.
The attractive thing about Ghobi Ghat is the film tells four different stories within a short time in the most realistic style. We can see that there is another character appears is the dynamic city Mumbai with its regular screaming of traffic, the sea of people, the vigorous street life and the heavy rains control the goings to end. Let's say Mumbai is a quiet witness of those four characters lives in Ghobi Ghat. All characters and their stories, feelings, smiles, loss, ambitions, fears and misfortunes everything is real. Actually when you see the film your eyes also would watch the real life. Somewhere in this movie, you may feel a flare of the various people of Mumbai in the film Slum dog Millionaire, but it is following a dissimilar way.
Unlike other film entertainers, you cannot see here attractive frames of locations in the city of Mumbai. You will see in genuine venture from magnificent and classy apartments to the slums. Kiran rao captured the genuine essence of the city Mumbai with hand held cameras and moving shots.
The movie Ghobi Ghat Starrings and roles
Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra are making their debut in Dhobi Ghat with outstanding and natural performances as Shaikitu and Yasmin. Prateik plays the role of Munna who speaks the slum language usually, but speaks to his lady love with gentle tone. Amir Khan is handling one of the four key role, a painter but the film is not focusing just only the role of Amir Khan, It is mainly about the various four stories.
Very much like his performance in Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan very willingly lets his co-actors eclipse him. Sure, he's super as a cloistered artist, but this film is not about Aamir Khan, the superstar. It's primarily about four stories, with Aamir merely enacting one of the four pivotal characters. Kittu Gidwani plays the role of Munna's friend performs well.
