is one of the Tamil Newspapers in Singapore This first issue of Tamil Murasu, the Singapore based Tamil language newspaper, was published in 1935. The first publisher of Tamil Murasu Singapore Newspaper was Thamizhavel G. Sarangapani. There are a wide number of Tamil Newspapers Outside India, and we can name, for example, Makkal Osai among others.

In fact there are at present sixteen newspapers in Singapore and Tamil Murasu is the only Tamil language newspaper in Singapore among them. Singapore hosts a wide number of non resident Tamilian peoples and Tamil Murasu Tamil Newspaper abroad is their main source of information for India related news. The newspaper covers a wide range of news, ranging from current affairs to local news and foreign affairs. The newspaper also offers exclusive pages for sports and entertainment.
