Chennai Central MP Dayanidhi Maran is the Union minister for Textiles.He is also the Grand Nephew of DMK President M.Karunanidhi.He is the Director of Sun Network which operates the largest number of satellite television channels in southern India.Dayanidhi Maran is also a radio Operator.His HAM Radio Callsign is VU2DMK.He was appointed Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology from 26 May 2004.
