Every year Maha Karthigai Deepam Festival is celebrated in Thiruvannamalai. This year this festival is celebrated on November 21, 2010 in Arunachala Hills, Thiruvannamalai.

Thiruvannamalai, is one of the most beautiful location with an extremely good quality of spiritual life. It has access to Chennai, Bangalore, Pondicherry, Trichy,at an equidistance of 180 kms. A dynamic, inexpensive, friendly city, is famous for its spiritual atmosphere. We search for the secrets of life, all through our life. Those who have seen and experienced the Arunachala Hill, have found that its presence is all enveloping and revealing.
Thiruvannamalai Deepam
Arunachala Hill has many names. Some of them are,

• the Mountain of Light

• the Mountain without Beginning or End

• the Mountain of Bliss,

Arunachala Hill is believed to be the physical personification of the great God Dakshinamurthi, the Lord shiva.

Every year, Maha Karthigai Deepam Festival is celebrated in Thiruvannamalai. This year this festival is celebrated on November 21, 2010 in Arunachala Hills, Thiruvannamalai.

Fasting is very auspicious on Maha Karthigai Deepam Festival day. So, be fasting and get blessings of the Lord shiva.
