Jal Cyclonic Warning to TAMILNADU

India Meteorological Department has given the Cyclone Warning for North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts on 07 – 10-2010. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD),the Severe cyclonic storm; JAL cyclone moved north westwards and weakened into a cyclonic storm. Jal Cyclone centred over southwest Bay of Bengal near about 250 km east-southeast of Chennai .

JAL cyclone will cross north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts between Chennai and Nellore as a cyclonic storm by today; the 7th November 2010 night.

Expected Damage by Jal Cyclone

1. Damage to thatched huts.

2. Breaking tree branches

3. Causing minor damage to power lines.

4. Damaging communication.

Jal Cyclone Warning to Tamilnadu by India Meteorological Department

Fishermen are advised not to go to the sea for fishing.

Staying near to the sea shore is strictly avoidable.
