Basmati Rice or Jeera Samba Rice: 2
All your favorite Vegetable :1 cups
Oil : 2 tsp
Bay Leaves : 3 in no
Cloves : 2 no
Cinnamon : 1 small
Cardamom : 2 no
Star Anise : 1 no
Medium size Onion : 2
Ginger and Garlic Paste : 2 tsp
Tomatoes : 3 no
Green Chili : 6 no
Red chili powder : 1 tsp
Coriander leaves : 4 tbsp
Mint leaves : 3 tbsp
Cashew : 10 no
Salt : asd required to taste
Water : 4 cup
Tamil Nadu Vegetable Biryani Recipe Preparation
Tamil Nadu Vegetable Biryani Recipe Step 1 :
Clean and soak rice for half an hour, wash it cleanly and drain the water. Take the vegetables wash it and cut the vegetables into medium size pieces.
Cut Onion, tomato, coriander leaves and mint leaves keep it ready. Slit open green chili and Grind ginger and garlic to paste form.
Tamil Nadu Vegetable Biryani Recipe Step 2 :
Take a pressure cooker and heat oil. then add Bay Leaves, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and star nicely. Add the sliced Onion then add 1/4 tsp of salt.
When the onion turns golden brown, add the ginger garlic pate mix well. Fry this approximately for about 4 min in low flame. Stir continuously to avoid the burn.
Then add the sliced green chili, mint leaves and coriander leaves and fry for 1/2 minutes. This is the time to add chopped tomatoes and cook till it becomes gravy.
Tamil Nadu Vegetable Biryani Recipe Step 3 :
Add the mixed vegetables and leave it for Half cooking of vegetables in the oil. Then add socked rice and keep it in low flame for 3 minutes, add the required water.
If it's not spicy enough you can add masala and red chili powder. Allow it to cook in the pressure cooker, close the stove just before getting one whistle. After the pressure has gone out open the lid and mix gently by adding ghee.
