Diet control is very very important diabetic patients. Ragi is considered as one of the best Diabetes Diet. Ragi Semiya Tamil Recipe is commonly used in the state of Tamilnadu. Ragi Semiya Tamil Recipe can minimize the risk of hyperglycemia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels etc.

Ingredients Required for Ragi Semiya Recipe


Ragi Semiya - 100gm packet.
Medium onion -2
Green chillies -2
Tomato -2
Garlic pods 3
Lemon juice 1 tsp

Ingredients Required for Ragi Semiya Recipe tempering


Mustard - 1tsp
Urad dhal 1 tsp
Channa dhal - 1tsp
Curry leaves and coriander leaves

Ragi Semiya Recipe Preparation


Ragi Semiya Tamil Recipe

Take water in a bowl and dip the Ragi Semiya for 2 to 3 minutes.
Then drain the water completely from the Ragi Semiya and keep it in an idli tray.

Do steam cooking for about 8 minutes as like Idli preparation.Remove the steamed Ragi Semiya to a pan and leave it to cool.

Chop the onion, green chillies, Tomato and garlic into small slices.
Take a tave and add 3 tsp of oil, Waite until it become hot then add all the tempering ingredients.

After mustard splutters add the finely chopped onion , green chillies, Tomato slice and garlic,stir till its cooked well.

Finally add the steam cooked ragi semiya or Ragi vermicelli and mix gently till its evenly coated with the Ragi masala ingredients.

Minimize the flame and cook for 2 minutes with out disturbing,then add lemon juice and give final touch by string nicely.

Ragi Semiya Recipe can be Garnished with chopped onion and coriander leaves.
