Biography and Profile of Bombay Jayashree
Bombay Jayashri is one of the leading Carnatic singers of Tamilnadu. She has also been a leading playback singer of the South Indian film industry. In 1989, Bombay Jayashri began taking her lessons from Lalgudi G Jayaraman, the guru of Bombay Jayashri. From 1989, she has also been taking lessons from the celebrated veena player G N Dhandapani Iyer.
Apart from the musical career of Bombay Jayashri she has also been one of the co-authors of the renowned book Voices Within. She was also featured in the first full length Carnatic music film called Margazhi Ragam. Shri T M Krishna was also there in the film Margazhi Ragam. Bombay Jayashri is also the coordinator of the six day music festival Svanubhava.
