Bharathidasan University - Tiruchirappalli.

Bharathidasan University was established in the year February 1982 after the great Tamil Poet Bharathidasan. The campus is located on Tiruchirappalli - Pudukkottai Highways. It has more than 200 affiliated colleges in various districts which includes Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Perambalur and Thanjavur.

Central Library of Bharathidasan University:

The central library was established in the year February 1982 and the present library building started to function from 29th May 1997. The sections in the library includes Digital library, Circulation, Reference, Technical section, Audio Visual Centre and Reprography. The library has tremendous book collections in volumes and it subscribes 204 journals covering national and international. The library also has 8500 Springer E-books on various subjects.
