However, getting admission for children to the good schools is a challenging experience to both the kids as well as the parents.

If you failed to admit your child in Pre KG or LKG in a prestigious school in Chennai, then it is extremely tough to get admission in-between in these schools at a later stage.
Admission Process Followed in Chennai schools
Top schools in Chennai starts their admission process to LKG usually in the months of December and January. Schools issue application form and prospectus in the month of November to December every year.
The application form has to be filled out and submitted to the school office within a particular period, it may be a week or 15 days. Then the school authorities would call the parents and kids to attend an interview and finalize the admissions. The admission is given on the basis of interview performance of the child, parents and many other criteria, which the schools will not disclose.
Age Criteria for admission to LKG in Chennai schools
Age Criteria for LKG admission is 3+ years as on December of the previous year of the admission. That is, if your kid has completed 3 years in the month of December 2009, then he/she will be eligible to get LKG admission in June 2010 session.
This age limit criteria is applicable to so many CBSE and ICSE schools in Chennai. But there are many best Matriculation and CBSE schools in Chennai which admit children who have completed 3 years as on May of the year of admission.
Pre KG admissions in Chennai schools
There are so many best Play schools and Montessori schools in Chennai. Pre KG schools admit kids who are above two years. The method followed in Montessori schools in Chennai is learning through Play Method.
