History of Ananda Vikatan:
 Ananda Vikatan, started by Mr. S.S. Vasan, founder of Gemini Studios born at Thanjavur District. Before that he started an advertising agency through which he entered into publishing line and earned some revenue through which he purchased the tamil magazine named Ananda Vikatan in 1928 which was struggling at that time. He made some new trends in marketing techniques to promote his magazine and he won the battle and got fame through Ananda Vikatan. He worked hard to make this into a weekly and soon the weekly occupied its own position on top and now Ananda Vikatan is the leading tamil language weekly magazine in Tamilnadu and it has celebrated its 80th year anniversary in 2004 and is still running successfully. Ananda Vikatan became a household name which offers quality content to every member of the family.
Symbol of Ananda Vikatan:

The happy face is the symbol of Ananda Vikatan was created by C.V.Margabandhu and which was then improved by caricaturist Mahalingam. The presentation and look of the magazine is more eye catching with illustrations on the cover and the contributions inside plays a major role in its way to success.
