Daughter of Tamil film director Agathiyan, Vijayalakshmi Ahathian has earned a B.Tech from Easwari Engineering College. She is best known for her debut Tamil film Chennai 600028 (2007), which was a sports-comedy feature film based on street cricket. It was written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. For the Tamil film Sultan The Warrior, Vijayalakshmi Ahathian will be voicing the lead female character.

The Music of Sultan The Warrior is by A.R.Rahman.
