Daily Thandhi is one of the leading newspapers of Tamilnadu. Daily Thandhi is a very popular Tamil newspaper as well! Within 1955, Daily Thandhi was not only one of the leading newspapers of Tamilnadu but began to be published from and circulated in adjacent states and cities like Bangalore, Puducchery, and Mumbai.

Daily Thandhi came to be one of the largest Tamil dailies within a few years in terms of circulation. Daily Thandhi has been one of the leading newspapers of Tamilnadu since the 1960s. Nowadays Daily Thandhi has 15 editions. The latest edition of Daily Thandhi is the Mumbai Edition. Daily Thandhi is the most circulated Tamil newspaper in Puducchery in Bangalore as well. The circulation of Daily Thandhi in the second semester of 2009 was close to 1200000 copies. Another success of Daily Thandhi is that nearly 750000 copies of Daily Thandhi are circulated among the Tamil Diaspora.

Daily Thandhi is also very much popular among the students of Tamilnadu. Daily Thandhi assists Tamil students to do well in the examinations. Daily Thandhi issues a book called Vina Vidai Book, on every Wednesday from July to December every year. This book of Daily Thandhi provides the solved questions of the Board Exams of 10th and 12th standard of the previous years. Also, once in a year, Daily Thandhi comes up with a programme called Vetri Nichayam. Daily Thandhi issues this during the summer vacations.
