K.S Chitra duets songs with K.J. Yesudas in Malayalam language and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and K.S Chitra songs in Tamil are popular among the music lovers. K.S Chitra's debut in kollywood is under the guidance of Tamil music composer Ilaiyaraaja.
K.S Chitra's Poojaikketra poovithu song from Neethana Antha kuil movie is the first song in Tamil in Isai gani Illayaraja's music. Her knowledge of South Indian languages and Hindi helped her lot to sing the songs with originality and perfection in other languages too.
