• Birth Date – 11-Jul'1966
• Birth Place – Periyakulam, Theni, Tamil Nadu
Director Bala was studied in American College in Coimbatore and he is a degree holder in Tamil Literaure.

Film career of Director Bala


Mentor of director Bala is Balu Mahendra. He started his career in Tamil film industry as a Assistant Director of Balu Mahendra. Bala's debut film Sethu was released in the year of 1999 with Vikram and Abitha in lead roles. Sethu is a milestone film in Vikram's carrier. Before the release of Sethu Vikram doesn't have any reorganization in Tamil film Industry. Initially, even the distributors was not ready to screen Sethu because it's tragic end. But Sethu became a super hit and remaked into Kannada as Huchcha, in Telugu as Seshu and in Hindi as Tere Naam. Director Ameer was worked as assistant to Bala in Sethu.

Tamil movie director Bala's second film is Nandha with Surya and Laila in lead roles. Nandha gave good career to Actor Surya. But this film didn't do much in box office. Nandha was released in the year of 2001.

Bala's third film is Pithamagan with Vikram, Surya, Laila, Sangeetha in Lead Roles. Pithamagan was released in the year of 2003 and his fourth film is Naan Kadavul with Arya and Pooja in lead roles. Bala produced Tamil film Maayavi in the year of 2005.

Awards won by Director Bala


1. National Film Award for Beast Film in Tamil for his debut movie Sethu.
2. Filmfare South Best Director Award for his debut Movie Sethu
3. TamilNadu State Film Award for Best Direction for his debut movie Sethu.
4. Bala's debut and Second film got TamilNadu State Special Award for Best film
5. National Film Award for Best Direction for his fourth film Naan Kadavul.

It realy tough to make this kind of fillms in tamil cinema bala sir doing very good job in his every fillms and particulerly he turn hero career some one like vikram and surya and i like to say its to bala sir plz ur next project make full and full soft love story like kadaluku mariyathai and kadalkottai this kind film i am expect from u as a fan and dont chenge the getup to hero end of fillm.
