Plus of the movie Madrasapattinam
Madrasapattinam team has recreated the Preindependence Madras with its beautiful sets. The camera work is extremely good. Songs of Madrasapattinam composed by G.V.Prakash have already created a very good impact on the audience.

Minus of the movie Madrasapattinam
Madrasapattinam, critics feel, has resemblances of Aamir Khan’s Lagaan and the unforgettable Titanic which the director could have avoided. The Dialogues of Madrasapattinam are written in Modern Tamil what we speak today, which is quite different from the Tamil people spoke at the time of independence which is not acceptable. The film has been dragged in the second half.
Performances in Madrasapattinam
• Arya has lived as the Character paridhi in Madrasapattinam. His performance in many scenes where he opposes the britishers is extremely fantastic and shows that he has put in a lot of hard work here.
• British actress Amy Jackson looks like an angel in Madrasapattinam. With her beautiful acting this doesn’t seem like her debut movie at all. She has stole our hearts!
• Cochin Hanifa has impressed the audience through his comedy.
• Nasser is as usual at his best , no doubt about it.
• Director Vijay definitely needs a big applaud for such a big effort as Madrasapattinam , trying to make every thing very realistic.
