Asin's debut film was Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in the year of 2001. After that Asin started her carrier in Telugu. Asin's major commercial success came from Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in the year of 2003 opposite to Ravi Teja Asin's first Tamil film was M Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi, opposite to Jayem Ravi. This film was Telugu remake of Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. This film became one of biggest success in that year.
