Cinema Career of A.R.Rahman A.R.Rahmanserved as a keyboard player during his initial days along with his child hood friend Sivamani. AR Rahmanalso served as keyboardist in Illayaraja's troupe.
In 1992, Rahman started his own recording studio in his house itself with named as "Panchathan Record Inn" and later it was developed as most advanced studio in India.
In 1992, Maniratnam gave the chance to Rahman to score music for his film Roja. Roja was the one of the biggest hit in Indian cinema. Rahman got National award for his first film itself. Rahman's collaborations with Maniratnam and Shankar have always gives the wonderful songs to audiences.

A.R.Rahman's Album In 1997, Rahman made an album named as Vande Mataram for the occasion of India's 50th anniversary of Independence. It was a huge success among Indians.
He worked in album Jana Gana Mana with Bharat Bala's direction. In the year of 2002, Rahman composed music for Bombay Dreams.
