In 2009, Actress Anushka Shetty starred in the film Arundati. Her performance as Arundhati and Jejamma in the supernatural flick Arundhati (2009) earned her good reviews. It is a performance oriented film. In that movie Anushka did two characters that belong to two different time zones. The Movie Arundati mailnly deals with a problem faced by a woman in ancient days. It has lot of graphics work. This film is directed by famous Kodi Rama Krishna and produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy. Anushka's Character in the movie was highly critically acclaimed and fetched her first Nandi Award. Anushka is the Winner of Nandi Special Jury Award for the movie Arundhati. Billa (2009) in which she acted with Prabhas as Maya became a blockbuster

In 2008 year she has 6 Telugu Movie Releases , starting with Oka Magadu which was utter upset to Anushka , following with the movie Swagtham and Baladoor garnered poor reviews and box office returns. But at the end of year she her next movies Chintakayala Ravi & King gained at Box Office.

Anushka delivered more hits with Vikramarkudu (2006), Rendu (2006) and Astram (2006).

She has played against several top actors till date and many of them are not so badly performed movies and are quite average movies. The news around says that very soon she is entering in to Bollywood Industry.
