The Most serene , colourful , happy days of our life time are our college days. This is the place which moulds us into a professional , ready to face the corporate world. I passed out of SSN college of engineering in 2010 may and pursued Computer Science engineering there. I am proud to say that I am a student of this SSN college of Engineering, because of the knowledge , exposure , freedom it has given its students. Fortunate is the person who gets into this college , surpassing all competitions and demands for a seat in this college. Below a few details on my college.
About SSN college of Engineering
The SSN College of Engineering with a wide spread area of 250 acres, located on the Rajiv Gandhi Salai also known as the Cyber Corridor of Chennai ,is one of the leading colleges in TamilNadu providing high class education to its students. The campus is fully wi-fi enabled and comprises aesthetically designed buildings that are well networked by optic fibre links. Excellent infrastructure, including latest computer technologies and internet facilities, modern workshops and labs, seminar halls, auditoriums and voluminous libraries, in addition to indoor stadium with gymnasium, sports and games fields .
Wi-fi facility has enabled introduction of e-learning , tetherless access to internet 24* 7, thereby helping students gain as much knowledge as possible. Not only that , but the college has a highly dedicated team of Teachers ,Professors , most of SSN College of Engineering lecturers with Doctorates who have brought fame to this organization. This institution has helped giving education to students coming from different strata of society through appropriate scholarships and favours admission based only on merit. Apart from academics strong emphasis is also given to extra curricular and co curricular activities.
Founder of SSN College of Engineering
The SSN Institutions are the outcome of Dr. Shiv Nadar's flaming desire to give back to the society that nurtured him. Dr. Shiv Nadar, a pioneer in the field of Information Technology founded the HCL Group of Companies, which is today an acknowledged leader in the IT world.
As the Chairman of HCL Technologies Ltd. , Dr. Shiv Nadar has played a pivotal role in the rise of India as a formidable power in IT and IT related sectors. The professional bondage of SSN with HCL has given the Institution a significant edge in terms of its reach in the software industry worldwide and has inturn led to presence of SSNites in all leading software industries.The SSN Institutions are an outcome of the vision and initiative of Dr. Shiv Nadarwith a goal to achieve excellence in the field of education and also promote research in IT and IT related fields .

Auditorium
An highly Extravagant auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 people and is fully air conditioned . There is also a mini auditorium with a seating capacity of 300 people which is also fully air conditioned for conducting seminars and meetings.

A hygienic, well-furnished and well-equipped canteen is available in the campus to provide food for the staff and students. Good quality drinking water is supplied in the college, hostel and canteen.
Transport
A fleet of buses run through the nook and corners of the city to ferry students to the college safely and comfortably.
