The generated power is supplied to various parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. 2. Mettur Thermal Power Station, (MTPS), Tamil Nadu

Wind-farm electricity generation in Tamil Nadu
Wind mill electric generation being a non-conventional resource, contributes to 19 MW power supply. In fact,Tamil Nadu is the leader of wind mill power generation in India. All the power generating stations are maintained by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB),a govt. of Tamil Nadu enterprise.

I would like to know the dates of start of works on various Hydro, thermal, gas, wind and other Non-conventional source of power. the dates of commissioning of those units. this may include central projects of NLC, NTPC and NPCL also. there has been always big gap between demand and supply. therefore it is desirable that private players including captive power plants should be encouraged to tide over the demand crises particularly during peak periods, Pumped storage hydro plants like kadamparai should be on operating mode.
