Interview with MD in SANDS
Describes my Interview experience with the MD of SANDS India Pvt ltd, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Resource has no exaggerations. I was offered a placement in SANDS after this interview.

Hi all,
I attended an interview at SANDS (Signals and Systems Pvt Ltd.,), Chennai, Tamil Nadu a few weeks before. Let me try sharing out a few of the questions that i faced, for Tamil Nadu. Contents am posting here are best to my knowledge as far as i remember. I might have missed some thing yet I can assure you that there is no exaggeration.
As I went near the door I asked Excuse and was called in.
~After a firm Handshake~
MD: Varun, right?
Me: Yes, sir.
MD: Tell me about yourself…
Me: (Told about myself, without any breaks) - Prepare for this question well. You will be definitely asked this question irrespective of the company.
MD: Good. What do you know about our company?
Me: Told a few details that i found from their website.
MD: Okay, how did you find them?
Me: Company Website, sir.
MD: What do you feel about the role that will be given in the company?
Me: Explained. (Be sure here. DO NOT BLUFF! If you don't know anything about the role, ask him politely about what the company expects and answer accordingly)
MD: Okay, why did you choose SANDS?
Me: You can answer this matching the company's profile and your interest, My answer was, I did Electrical and Electronics Engineering to get into Core. So i prefer Core companies than others. I found SANDS" profile interesting and would be the best place to start off my career (By the way, there are many people who pronounce career as carrier. Please correct the pronunciation as career.)
MD: He explained about my roles, about the company and the job profile. And asked now since you are from Electrical, are you well aware about Signals, DSP systems etc?
Me: No sir. I know the basics.
MD: Okay. But, since SANDS completely deals with DSP systems, how do you think will you fit the company?
Me: Sir, when I joined my B.E, I was not aware of what Engineering was all about. I learnt a lot and cleared engineering successfully. If i could do that, I can definitely learn all the concepts within the period of training.
MD: (With a laugh) Okay, how much salary do you expect?
Me: As per company norms, sir.
MD: Do you wish to travel or relocate?
Me: Yes sir, No problem.
MD: Okay varun, it was nice to have you here. I will forward the call letter to you within 2 weeks.
Me: Thank you sir.
and with a firm handshake left the hall.
- There might also occur some situations where you will be asked to ask questions to the interviewer in company's. In fact, HR people prefer that in various companies in Tamil Nadu. As a best candidate, ask related questions and win your chance. -
Dear students of Tamil Nadu, Interview is a very nice experience. Face it with pleasure, you will be placed for sure in top companies in Tamil Nadu.
