The University is located at the foothills of Maruthamalai. The Campus is located 15KM from the City of Coimbatore. It is located on the Maruthamalai Road.
City Buses from gandhipuram 1, 1B, 1D, 1E, S12, S13, S15, S26, 46, 70, 70A, 70B, 76, 92 pass through this University.
City Bus from Railway Junction 1C ply upto Vadavalli. From there the above buses can be used to reach University.

Some of the Achievements and Accomplishments

1.The covetous BU-DRDO centre for Life Sciences has been established at a cost of Rs 18 Crore. This prestigious Centre was inaugurated by His Excellency, then the president A.P.J.Abdulkalam, which was the first ever visit of a President of the Nation to the University.
2.4 department of the university have been sanctioned with the UGC SAP DRS programme
3.B.P.Ed. program has been started in the Department of Physical Education
4.Three new departments namely, the Department of English and foreign language, Department of Bioinformatics and the Department of Nano Technology
5.Earning into an MoU with ELCOT to have R&D based Techno Park with the name BU-ELCOT city.
