Now ACCET is one of the major autonomus colleges of Tamilnadu. The college is also one of the TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme)membership colleges in india. Only 11 Tamilnadu TEQIP colleges are there.

The college has been recognized as a research centre.
ACCET has been selected as the Best Tamilnadu Engineering colleges.
