Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test TANCET 2012 is an entrance examination conducted every year by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government.This exam is the most popular examination for the students who wants to pursue Post Graduation in professional courses (MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan) in Tamil Nadu. Based on the merit in TANCET 2012 admission is offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai , Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges. Apart from these institutions, many private colleges consider TANCET 2012 score for their college admissions.

Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test TANCET 2012

M.E./M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in the corresponding discipline in which the student wants to pursue M.E./M.Tech.

M.Arch/M.Plan Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidate should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in architecture/planning.

TANCET 2012 Exam Pattern for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan

TANCET 2012 Entrance Exams for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan) will be of 2 hours duration. There will be separate paper for each department. Each question paper will be consisting of 100 multiple choice questions and have to answer within the given time. Candidates will have to choose the specialization section depending on their qualifying degree. One mark is awarded for each correct answer ther will be negative marking (1/3 mark) in all the exams for incorrect answers. No deduction will be made for questions left unanswered
