Electricity Problem is the worst in TN and elsewhere in the Country. What the planners are doing inside the St George fort. Only god knows. The IAS officials who are responsible for power generation why fail to anticipate this kind of shortage. Its the fit case to ponder over.

The Central Govt do help the state govt with good supply of power from National grid. But state must also make alternate arrangement to produce power or make purchase from elsewhere to tide over the crisis.

The state govt does not try to produce more electricity calculatingly up to the level of need .The sources of wind ,water, sunlight and lignite should be fully used for the production.Atomic power is contradictory one .Kudankulam is a central govt project .We don't know how much it would help to Tamil nadu.
The state govt is purchasing electricity from private companies for higher cost.So it may want to continue purchase from others than producing.;it may from their benamis or party men or for indirect commission.
The Central govt gave continuous pressure to bifurcate the Tamil Nadu Electricity board in three companies .For some period it rejected but now it has divided in three as the first step of privatisation .The policy of central and state govts is to privatise all govt institutions so that they get gain from that companies .
Once Kolkutta was called a dark city and now it is heard that it supplies its excess electricity to other states. That state had long term and short term goals in production of electricity and using every small chance to produce electricity though the central govt is helpful .Tamil nadu also should follow this path.
