How the petrol price hike affects Tamil Nadu?

The petrol price has increased upto Rs.7.50 per litre, the biggest hike in the recent past. There has been hike in petrol price a lot of times within 1 year. This increase is affected Tamil Nadu people very much. Middle class suffer a lot. Taxi drivers, auto drivers also face a lot problems because of this hike. There is a scarcity in petrol in chennai followed by the hike. The oil corporation has stopped supplying oil to the petrol bunks. This situation is very worse. If this continues, then there will be a lot of problems for the society. Where this hike will lead to? Will it get reduced in the future? Or is there any way to reduce the hike immediately? Hi Syed Rizwan,

This is a very good topic for discussion. A litre of petrol was around Rs 50 in 2009 and almost Rs 30 has increased in just 3 years. If this continues what happens in future. The hike in petrol price is very very disappointing to each and every citizen of India. The government has increased a lot and I think nobody will support the government for this.

Due to rise in Fuel price bus fare, auto fare, the price of daily commodities like veggies, pulses, rice, etc., will also increase.

Schools and colleges will also increase the bus fares.

But the Income will not increase it will always be stable.

This is going to affect only the lower and middle class people and not the others.
