Is it necessary to have whole Kudankulam power for Tamilnadu?

Tamilnadu were asking for whole Kudankulam power for their own usage. They are not ready to give Kudankulam power to any other state in India. Our need in Tamilnadu is 11,500 MW but we produce only 7,500 MW. Only in wind days we get some extra electricity and some from solar power panels. Kudankulam generates 2000 MW. So it necessary to have whole power to Tamilnadu. But our neighboring state Kerela will surely create problem regarding this. Is this problem with India or problem with neighboring state?

This is the problem of the country as the decision whether all the power generated from koodankulam should be given to Tamil Nadu alone or not should be decided by the central government. Tamil Nadu is facing a great power demand, that the TN government should explain to the central and try to convince them for getting the whole power generated. I don't think if central government makes some decision in this matter, Kerala will not intrude in this.

As said by Mr.Syed, the Central Government has to decide whether to give the total power produce to Tamilnadu or not. Actually, whenever a Project is launched by Central Government there is a rule that 40 - 50% of the Power produced shall be given to the State where the Power plant is commissioned. The neighbouring States will get the remaining share. But in the Kudankulam Project, our Tamilnadu Government can demand to meet the Power cut situation.
