    Hello Friends,
The Ruling party has made many election promises during this years election and it was successful in passing many resolutions too. Now the government of tamil nadu is planning to work out the other promise made by Jayalalitha for issuing laptops to the students as computers are more needed for the students of now a days. It is obvious that without computers nothing is possible in the modern period of times. The government has worked out the plan and the plan states that the government has to spend about 300 crores in order to implement the project and the sum neede is huge. DO you think the government would be able to implement this election promise which is essential but will be of a higher cost than any other project?

    Regards,

    Hi Friends,

The scheme would be issued to students of government-aided higher secondary schools, arts and science colleges, engineering colleges and polytechnic colleges. And the project will entail a cost of rupees 10,200 crore, the goverment at its first phase has allocated 912 crore for the distribution of 9.12 lakh laptops for the first year.

For distribution, the government has assigned Electronic Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) as the nodal agency, considering its rich experience and performance on large-scale procurement

IT majors Hewlett-Packard and Acer have already supplied 4,000 and 2,000 laptops respectively for the Sept 15 launch, the official said. For the remaining nine lakh laptops, the bidding process is still on, he added.

If Students get laptops it will be great boon to ladder India.

    Regards,
    Gopi

I think the Election Commission should not allow the political parties to announce such type of offers. This is completely a direct bribe given to people instead of votes. So, this is vote for laptop issue. In the previous government also they made many promises and accomplished their wordings. This type of dirty politics will definitely bring the developmental activities to zero level.

If this is implemented as the assurance of JJ it should be welcomed apart from political views .We should not oppose thinking it as freebee .Yes govt should do the needful to the people .they are laying infrastructure to the state such as transporting roads ,canals dams etc .This action is alike .The laptops to poor children of our stste would bring them forefront than other state children .Education is a wealth.spending on this is a welcome trend .Really their action to cut samachchir kalvi is anti people but issuing laptops is pro people .Again nowadays majority of the govts try to disown education and let to the private concerns .Against this spirit they spend on education .Why could not we welcome.?

Laptops were much needed that will reduce the burden of students. They can share their study materials easily using laptop. We can get many programmer expert right from the childhood. There are free software development kit available in Internet provided by adobe, java, google android and BADA. Students can make utilize of those things. Since laptop has been provided to all students government should take care on Internet sites. Adult sites should be banned in India as soon as possible. Students should be taken care that they shouldn't reach bad things using laptops.

Students should make use of the offer provided by the government. They should not burden with any mischievous acts. Many students in village feel great when they get laptop in their home. This will surely inspire them to achieve a lot. There are good and bad things in internet. Students should be redirected to the good things only.

    Regards
    Venkat
