Petrol price rises again by Rs 3.40

    Hi members
Why this petrol price is increasing too much. This year the price of petrol is rising constantly. Now no one can go out without bikes. If they are increasing like this way what happens to Auto drivers, private bus drivers. Government should find the solution for this problem.

I don't know why Government is doing this. Government is saying that this is due to increased price of petrol in Internation market but when petrol prices were reduced in International market then there was no change is price of petrol in India. By seeing these step of centre government I am sure that there will some big changes in next elections in India. Hope everything will become alright and petrol prices will be rollbacked by Government.

Govt is the reason for petrol price rise. Then how will it find solution to this? Now the govt has decontrolled the oil companies so that they could rise the price whenever they want .Moreover the central and state govts collect more taxes on petroleum products .BJP also has the same policy .It had also raised many times when it was in power. When the left controlled congress govt last time the govt could not raise the price; moreover it decreased the price two times when the price fell internationally .BJP supported congress in parliament when the discussion on price rise was taken in last session .So we should understand that BJP and cong would not solve the problem. But we the people should find the way of solution; that is struggles in roads .

    Hi friends,
I would say that the government is not taking proper precautions inorder to stop the petrol price fromi increasing further. the government should take initiative inorder to stop further hike in the petroleum products. It is all happening only after the government had given the selling rights to the petroleum companies.

In this whole world the petrol prices are high only in India and in all the other places the petrol rates are normal so it is not the mistake of the petroleum companies but it is the mistake of the government making huge interest and taxation policies to the necessitites of the general public.

    Hello friends,

The government should impose a low tax rate on the petrol rates inorder to reduce the oil prices. usually the rate of petrol charged by companies are only 37 rupees including transportation charges and the remaining 33 rupees are tax rates imposed by the government.

The government charges tax which makes the oil rates look so increased, the government should tend to decrease the tax rates to a maximum level so that the general public may be satisfied by the act of the government.

Government is formed only for the benefit of the public and if the government really thinks the benefit of public as their main aim then the act should be taken by the government.

    Hai,

The repeated increases in the prices of petrol and petroleum products
over the past year is a clear violation of the Administrative Price
Mechanism ,put in place by the Centre and has been taken to unsustainable levels.

While international oil prices were in the region of $148 a barrel, petrol prices were at about Rs 50 a litre. But today, when prices have fallen 40 per cent to $110 barrel, we are paying Rs 68 per litre of petrol. There is no clear formula or justification for this kind of price increase.

How will the public survive when the expenditure is more than income?

The government charges tax which makes the oil rates look so increased, the government should tend to decrease the tax rates to a maximum level so that the general public may be satisfied by the act of the government.

Is this government is working for the benefit of Public or for what?

As well said by mr. Vasudevan the government is the sole cause for the increment of the petrol price. The congress government had given the right to the petroleum companies to fix the price. Now the petroleum department became un self-governed organisation. It can change the price without any one's permission. When ever the rate for the petroleum products is increased the price also increased and if the kacha oil comes down the price is not decreased.

The government shows only the rate of oil that are imported. Even india we could get some of them, which can be given for less price. The only way to reduce the petrol price is we have to find an alternate way in production of petroleum products.

The best way one can adopt to avoid the expenses on petrol is to buy a bicycle and use it for the short distance.
