A three-hour power cut was in vogue in the past for a couple of months in the district.
Later, it was reduced to two hours.
But the schedule is not maintained strictly by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.
In Thanjavur town power shutdown was witnessed for most part of the day.

Hi,
Yesterday i was in Tanjavur only. I do agree with your point. The power problem has become worst in all the places. There are only 2 hours power in some places. It is becoming even more worst. In the village areas the power is not given importance and it is very bad to be in villages without the power. This is the matter of fact that has to be taken seriously by the government of the Tamil nadu but i dont think that the government is taking any initiative to change this issue and it is not thinking in any way to stop this problem and solve this problem. This problem is becoming worst day by day.
Yesterday i was in the Tanjavur big temple. There was no power there. It was very tough to see the architect of the temple without any light source. Even though they provide power through inverter that is not sufficient to cover that place. All the people who came to see the temple just blamed the government. In the village areas the power is frequently cut. There are no people to question the government so this is becoming worst day by day. If this problem continues then there will be a serious problem in tamil nadu. There should definitely be an alternative power source.
