    Gas price increases in Tamilnadu

It seems gas price in Tamilnadu is going to increase. So every gas company increases Rs.50 than before. If gas price increases automatically price everything increases. Why they are doing like this? It affects poor and middle class peoples lot.

but the only thing that could console this increase in price is the reduction by Rs.15.

In a bid to offer some relief to the common man, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa Tuesday ordered abolition of value added tax (VAT) on the cooking gas, bringing down its price by Rs.15 per cylinder.

the state government said it was waiving the four percent VAT on cooking gas from July onwards making the fuel cheaper by around Rs.15 per cylinder of 14.4 kg.

After the recent hike in fuel prices, cooking gas cost Rs.404 in the state. With the abolition of VAT, it will cost around Rs.390 for households.

The state government will be forgoing around Rs.120 crore in value added tax revenue due to this move.

our state government had described as a joke the central governments advice to states to reduce VAT on cooking gas after hiking its price exhorbitantly by Rs.50 a cylinder.

Condemning the price hike, chief minister had said the move would have a cascading effect and result in all-round price increase.

She said the state government decided to abolish VAT as there is no sign of the central government rolling back the price hike.

    Hi friend,
Its a nice trendy topic. There is nothing to complain the Government at all. The Government is taking steps to control the price rates but due to the demand is increasing for the fuel and gas cylinders too, the rate is uncontrollable. Surely it affects the people in the low and middle classes. But the present CM of Tamil Nadu Ms.Jayalalitha has introduced a tax waiver, this makes us relieve somewhat. Soon the time will change and the prices will go down. As youngsters we should try to discover some efficient fuel to make the previous sentence to become true.

It is purely a drama of central government to increase the oil price. On the other hand the state government also imposing huge tax for petrol and diesel. Govt repeatedly says the oil companies losing a huge money but the market history shows that majority of oil companies earning profit. So, in my view it is preplanned murder of poor people of India by the Central and state government.
