Hi Sanjith,
This is one of the interesting topics of this Admission season. In my opinion, the most interested educational section is, Engineering as you said.
The reason is simple, the wide range of qualification mark limits for the Engineering admissions.
On the other hand, some students are with the aim that, they should get an Engineering seat in the reputed colleges like the Anna University campus.

Hi,
Nice forum to discuss with. The education system in our states is very worst. The education that is offered is based on the commercial aspects only. According to me most of the students opt only the Engineering rather than any other course. The parents of of most of the students focus on making their child a good engineer. But the student will understand the value of the engineering exactly only when they finish the engineering. The engineering according to me is such a waste. Both the teachers and the students do not focus on the knowledge part of it. The teachers focus on the salary that they get and they dont teach and the students focus on the degree and they are also not very much responsible when they learn. SO everything goes waste. Ultimately the money that is spent on the engineering can be spent usefully in something else. But the parents dont have any idea on that and they waste their money in this.

Thanks Sanjithkumar for bringing this post.
Tamil Nadu produces the highest number of engineering graduates in India (around 30,000) every year which attracts many software companies to set up their shop in south India.
There are around 350 Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu and hence many aspire to become Engineers.
Tamil Nadu has a history that dates back to a thousand years or more. The state's reputation lies with the fact that one of the first three universities established by British East India is located here in Chennai – the University of Madras. Having made great strides in the field of Higher Education, Tamil Nadu is a frontline state in India imparting quality education in the field of science and technology. Hence today Tamil Nadu is righteously called as the "Oxford of the South".
