Which tourist place attracts a large number of tourists every year?

There are numerous tourist places in Tamilnadu. They are under various categories like hillstations (ex: Ooty, Kodaikanal), pilgrim centres (ex: Madursi, Rameswaram)) and other sight seeing places (ex: Marina beach). Among all the tourist centres, which one attracts a large number of tourists every year?

Hi Shrimathy,

Among the various tourist places I think the sightseeing places are visited more because they do not need any planning. If you want to go for a hill station we have to do prior ticket booking, hotels, etc. We should also wait for vacations and seasons to go to hill stations.
Similarly for religious places also we have to plan but when you take sightseeing places nearby our localities like any theme park, beaches, shopping malls, etc. they do not need any prior planning such that we can go whenever we want.

So these places are visited by quite a number of visitors than the other places.

There are many beautiful tourist destinations in Tamilnadu getting more visitors. This depends on the season. Tamilnadu Hill stations like Ooty and Kodaikanal, Yercaud are getting more crowd during summer. March to May is the season time and this is the best time to visit the Hill stations.

There will be maximum visitors during Ooty Flower show time.
Other than this beaches are popular among the tourists for best relaxation. Then temple tour.

Hi
In south coutrallam got more crowd during season. Season starts from March to August. Sometime there may no water due to high weather. In december there will be flood that we cannot bath.
Also Tiruchendur gets most of crowd during festival times such as Thaipoosam.
Kodaikanal and ooty are the other place choosen by everyone to escape from summer heat.

Chennai, capital city of the State, offers beaches, pilgrim centres, museums, art gallery and more.

Chidambaram, abode of Lord Nataraja

Coimbatore, Manchester of the South

Kodaikanal, one of the most beautiful hill resorts in India

Kanyakumari, where the three oceans meet.

Kanchipuram, the city of temples and silk.

Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), World Heritage site

Madurai, Athens of the East

Ooty, Queen of Hill Stations

Thirunelveli one of the most visited destinations.

Thanjavur, Famous Temple of Chola Dynasty

Nagapattinam - Velankanni Church
