Kanchipuram is best place to buy Silk sarees and dresses because silk garments are manufactured in kanchipuram. like this RMKV has their own "Thari", so RMKV silks are very nice and quality also very very high. In my experience comparing to other stores RMKV silk sarees and silk garments are nice.
RMKV silks has lot of variets and has original jareegai. New variets of RMKV with traditional and morden design sarees are lovely. Not only sareers all variety of Silk garments like gents garments, shirts also so nice. RMKV fabrics has their own designers, own Thari and Own yarn factory or quality and cost will be reasonable. You can give order for bulk booking and even you can request for new design (as you wish).

One can get original silk sarees in many places in Chennai. You should ask the persons in the shop that you need original silk saree for getting their assistance. Many shops like Nalli, Kumaran silks, RMKV, Chennai silks, Sekar emporium, Pothys are very good shops for buying silk sarees.
You can get traditional as well as latest design sarees in these shops.

Kanchipuram is popular for original silk sarees, but also get original sarees in almost the city shop. But the there will be some changes in the price. If you purchase this saree in Kanchipuram, it will be reasonable than the commercial ships.
There are mant silk hand looms in Kanchipuram doing this business.

rmkv, chennai silks also have good variety of silk.
but we cant validate the originality
