Hello friends!
This is Kumar, a postgraduation final year student in English from the University of Calcutta. Already a big admirer of IndiaStudyChannel.com and BengalSpider.com, this time I decided for an adventure in the south! And yet another reason I am here for is my friend Mr. Satishkumar from this site and locality.
Frankly speaking, I do not know Tamil and Googled the word Vanakkam (I even do not know if I have used it properly). But I would love to learn the language. Is anybody there who can offer this complete ignorant of Tamil some basic lessons, so that I can conversate with you better?

Dear Mr. Satishkumar and Mr. Mohan!
I am feeling a bit enthusiastic about my membership in TamilSpider; this is almost like a virtual visit to Tamilnadu! Nevertheless, I am having some problems that I would have had in my actual Tamilnadu visit as well; since both the language and its alphabets are Greek to me I am not getting the meaning of a number of forum threads. Of course, in some of them, there is an English translation of the Tamil title which I think will help me learn the language too, but in most cases it is only in Tamil. Can you please provide the English equivalents whenever submitting a Tamil title so that we Non-Tamils can understand it?
Nevertheless, I hope I will soon learn Tamil from you, friends, and then it would not be a problem. Who knows, someday someone else from Bengal in future may complain that my threads are hard to understand for they are written in Tamil!
