Definitely semester exams are important to test our knowledge. But it should not be like just exams. It should be in such a way that, they should not only test our theoretical knowledge, they should also test practical knowledge more.

Hi priyanka,
Semester exams are necessary, if instead of semester exam if there is only one exam at the end of the year students enjoy the whole year irresponsibly without concentrating in their studies. I do not mention all the students but those irresponsible ones.
These students come to college for attendance because in many colleges (autonomous) there is some percentage marks for attendance. If this is not there then they will cut their classes and do all sorts of unwanted things. This is their mentality. So many lecturers prefer this semester exams.
