The town of kanchipuram is situated very near the chennai city. It is famous for Silk sarees. These sarees are exported all over the world. Almost all the big shops in chennai city have opened their branch in kanchipuram.
It is also very famous for Kamatchi Amman Temple. We can call kanchipuram as a 'Temple Town'. And what else, the house of Arignar Anna is also present there. These are the specialties of Kanchipuram.

Kanchipuram is a very famous city known for the silk sarees. One can get original zari silk saree from Kanchipuram.
It is situated 75 kms from Chennai city. The kamatchi amman temple and the Sankaracharya mutt is also the speciality of Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram is also famous for Kanchipuram idlis, a special variety of idli.
