Hi,
Pollachi is a town which is located in the Coimbatore, District of the State of Tamil Nadu. In the time of ancient, Pollachi was known as 'Pollil Vaichi' which means "The land of natural Wealth and Prosperity" or 'Porull Aatchi' (The Land of Wealthy Government). During the period of Kulottunga Chola III , Pollachi was known as Mudi Konda Chola Nallur (Crowned King).
In olden days it was said that everything is sold and bought in market including elephants in a form of barter system. Green rice fields can be seen all around the town and entire area is extremely pretty. Pollachi is located very close to the Western Ghats and it has a pleasant climate throughout the year.
Pollachi is famous for the market which has a wide variety of products. Pollachi has a jaggery market which is considered to be the biggest jaggery market in Asia. Pollachi is also famous for its cattle and the cattle market is also another interesting place. To visit the market you need to alight at 'Sandhai Pettai'.

Pollachi is a famous place in Tamil nadu and Which is in Coimbatore District. It has many tourist places for the people to visit. Many Tamil film have been taken in Pollachi. In Pollachi, The VALPARAI is a famous place for the tourist.The MASANI AMMAN kovil is a temple which is very famous through out the Tamil Nadu. Many peoples are coming here on various occasions.
The famous Monkey Falls is also located in Pollachi.The great AALIYARU Dam is in near to Pollachi. The famous Spiritual Place MAHARISHI ASARAMAM is also located in near pollachi.
Pollachi is a place for for having very old palaces. Many palaces are avilable in pollachi which is given for film suiting for rent. Many Colleges and best schools are available there. The very famous person, the business man, Pollachi MAHALINGAM is there. He runs many Colleges and business industry.NGM College,Sakthi Sugars,Sakthi Finance are some examples.
There are many hotels and lodges are available in pollachi to stay like sakthi lodge.
