Dear friend,
The RJ-45 jack connector is commonly used for network cabling and for telephony applications. It's also used for serial connections in special cases.
A RJ-48 jack connecter is fastened on to a STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) cable, not the standard UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) CAT-(1-5) cable.A RJ-48 also uses a different pin out arrangement, voltage level, and line capacitance than a RJ-45 Jack connector.
with regards, S.Manoharan, TSR.
