    Mobile portability

    Mobile portability:

    MNP-Stands fro mobile number portability it has introduced in India, other country has this MNP in free of cost. But our country will be charged Rs.19/-. This is advantage and big competition according to the providers. Every cellular provider wants to give service quality, coverage and maximum offer to their customer.
    Easy step to change the port(Example):
    Step1:

    -Send a SMS to 1900 following syntax type,

    PORT to 1900, Ex :- PORT 9999YXYXYX

    The above Text forward to the 1900. As well as you got Porting code to verifying the reference number this is use for communicate with the new provider.

    Step2:

    If you have any outstanding dues or bill first clear all.

    Step3:

    Visit new provider and here need the unique ID number (Porting code). We got in first step to apply MNP service.

    After apply to new provider, they have some process that approval from old provider. These processes are take (4-7) days.

    Step4:
    Old provider will reply the correct date and time that they will switch off your number. Here after the new provider provide new connection to you.

    You get new SIM card from the new provider.

    NOTE:

    > Old provider will not forward the current balance to new one so you have to utilize that.

    > Both prepaid and post paid have this service. Mainly the prepaid customer utilize the balance fully, post paid customer clear all outstanding.

    > CDMA, GSM numbers can be switch to another CDMA to GSM.

    > You can not move provider in second time with in 90 days.

    Note:
    And also we cannot switch mobile number from one service area to another.
    Eg: Subscriber in bangalore cannot switch to an other service provider in Mumbai.
