Jamal Mohamed College was started in the year 1951, Jamal Mohamed College was first affiliated to Madras University and then later affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in 1984.
Jamal Mohamed College nicely administered by the Society of Jamal Mohamed. Total area of Jamal Mohamed College is 87 acres in that 60 acres of land is located in Jamal Mohamed College and remaining 27 acres in Veerampatti Village near Bharathidasan University.
The main of Jamal Mohamed College is to provide higher education to the below poverty line students and socially backward sections of the society and also for Muslim minority students.
Janab. M. Jamal Mohamed Sahib and Janab N.M. Khajamian Rowther are the founder of this Jamal Mohamed institution.
